General terms and conditions of sale

The present conditions of sale are valid for all orders placed with the Bureau des Guides des 2 Vallées (or its activity resellers) or online on the “guide2vallees.com” website.

All registrations/reservations are subject to :

  • Acceptance of our general terms and conditions of sale.
  • Know how to swim and don’t be afraid of the water.
  • Not to have any medical contraindications to the practice of our activities.
  • Full understanding of the recommendations for the chosen activity. Make sure you get all the information you need before booking.

Payment in full is compulsory for all orders (online on the website or by means of a traditional contract). A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you following your purchase. Alternatively, contact us on +33 6 89 88 04 31!

Special case of signed order forms and quotations: administrative order forms/quotations are order forms/quotations that do not give rise to payment on account. Signing the order form/quotation implies acceptance of these cancellation conditions.

Payment of the balance of the service ordered must be made before or after the activity to the guide in charge.

Please bring the appropriate means of payment with you: cheque, cash or holiday vouchers.

All cancellations must be notified at least 48 hours in advance, either by e-mail or by telephone. If this 48-hour period is not respected, you will be charged a cancellation fee of €15/person.

For group bookings, if there are fewer participants than expected, the organiser must inform “Le Bureau des Guides des 2 Vallées” at least 48 hours before the date of the activity. If this is not done, all places reserved will be forfeited.

Refunds will only be made in the event of inability to take part in the activity, on presentation of a medical certificate/official document. Refunds will only be made to the person named in the certificate, with the exception of minors, who are the responsibility of the accompanying adult.

Cancellation for weather reasons: We reserve the right to postpone or cancel a planned activity for any reason relating to weather conditions. ONLY THE INSTRUCTOR IS AUTHORISED TO CANCEL AN ACTIVITY IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER.

  • If the guides are obliged to cancel a departure for any reason whatsoever, the participants will be reimbursed in full without being able to claim any additional compensation.
  • A meeting time is systematically communicated whatever the service and you are asked to come with your vehicle. To ensure that the activities run smoothly and out of respect for the other participants, we tolerate a maximum delay of 15 minutes. AFTER THIS TIME, THE INSTRUCTOR(S) WILL LEAVE AND NO REFUND OR COMPENSATION WILL BE DUE.

The Bureau des Guides des 2 Vallées accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings.

The products and services are those which appear on the website of the Bureau des Guides des 2 Vallées. These products and services are subject to availability. The photographs on the site are as accurate as possible but cannot guarantee a perfect similarity with the product.

The prices shown in the catalogue are inclusive of VAT. The Bureau des Guides des 2 Vallées reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, it being understood, however, that the price shown in the catalogue on the day the order is placed will be the only price applicable to the purchaser.

The rules and regulations are available on request. We remind you that all participants must be in good health and not suffer from any physical or mental disorder that could be detrimental to the practice of the activity.

We remind you that appropriate clothing is imperative. All scarves, veils, caps, scarves and chokers are forbidden during the activities due to the risk of strangulation. Our “guide2vallees.com” website provides details of the equipment required.

Any proceedings against the Bureau des Guides des 2 Vallées or one of its members must be brought before the court of Gap in the Hautes-Alpes.

Teaching activities are carried out in the name and on behalf of instructors working as independent instructors/guides.

The personal data of our customers when they register for activities offered by the Bureau des Guides des 2 Vallées or when they request information via our online forms or our communications by e-mail or post:

  • The information collected is compulsory for registrations or requests for information. It will be processed electronically for the purpose of scheduling your activities or proposing prices.
  • This information may be used to communicate with you after the service has been provided, in order to send you your invoice or receipt, or to offer you the opportunity to give your opinion on the services provided.
  • We may send you information about our promotions and new products.
  • The data is kept for 5 years.
  • Under the amended French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access and rectify any information held about you. If you wish to exercise this right and obtain information about yourself, please contact the management.

The Bureau des Guides des 2 Vallées and its instructors take photos free of charge during the various activities.

We reserve the right to use photos and videos taken during our services to illustrate our brochures, advertising, social networks and websites, unless otherwise stated by the participant on a separate sheet of paper.

Each instructor is covered by individual professional liability insurance.

The Bureau des Guides des 2 Vallées is insured for the resale of its business by the insurance company MMA.
