Description

Looking for an unusual activity in the Veynes area or near Gap?

Come and try your hand at canyoning at Les Marmites du Diable. This refreshing hike takes you through beautiful pools of clear water carved out of the limestone by the Durbonas torrent, with small jumps, magnificent slides and abseils, and technical sections on some narrow, aerial stretches. Our guide will accompany you on this wonderful family outing, which is open to all!

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET :

  • Location: La Faurie (Hautes Alpes, near Veynes)
  • From : 6 years.
  • Duration: 1h in the water (allow 2h30)
  • Approach time: 15 minutes.
  • Equipment provided: full neoprene wetsuit, helmet and group equipment.
  • What to bring: swimming costume, sports shoes or hiking boots (which will be wet), energy food (cereal bars, dried fruit, etc.) and a bottle of water.
  • Price: From €40 for individuals (please contact us for other prices or special requests).

Difficulty: Ideal for the whole family, with water rides, jumps, abseils and slides.

  • Small water flow.
  • Reminder: 3 metres.
  • Slides: 3 metres.
  • Jumps: 2 metres (not compulsory)

Equipment required

  • Bring your sports shoes, a backpack with water bottle and a snack.
  • You’ll meet the guide and other participants at the specified location (see map provided): our BE instructor will welcome you and fit you out.
  • All equipment required for the activity will be provided and explained:
    • via ferrata: helmets, harnesses, dynamic lanyards
    • canyoning: neoprene wetsuits, helmets, harnesses
    • The equipment complies with CE standards and is inspected before each use.
  • The various stages of the activity and safety rules will be explained to you before you set off (briefing).
